The Dhagpo Kagyu library has acquired a newly published collection of the complete works of all the Karmapas. Compiled by khenpo Loyak Tashi, this collection is made up of 108 volumes in the traditional Tibetan format and also of an index. We already had the works of the 3rd, 7th, 8th, 10th and 15th Karmapas but we didn’t have the others. They are now all available!
On the occasion of its official opening, the Dhagpo Kagyu Library received a generous donation of more than 7 700€ from the Bodhi Path Centers for buying texts and books and contributing in this way to the development of the documentary collection. They also offered a new collection in 3 volumes of the works of the meditation master Chögyam Trungpa, The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma, Boston, Shambhala Publications, 2013.
The Dhagpo Kagyu Library opened its doors on July 7th 2013. With a surface area of 108m² and great natural lighting, this room provides readers and researchers form all horizons a pleasant work and study space with large tables and comfortable armchairs. Reviews and computers are accessible. Internet access throughout the entire room
The EMSCAT, scientific journal of Études mongoles & sibériennes, centrasiatiques & tibétaines, publishes the summary of Cécile Ducher’s thesis in Tibetology on the biographical tradition of Marpa Chökyi Lodrö, founding father of the Marpa Kagyü lineage.
Between April and June, thousands of volumes of volumes of texts, and also CDs, DVDs, computers and boxes of any kind went from cupboards to arms and arms to new shelves: the library settled in its new location.
