History

With this wish expressed by the Gyalwa Karmapa, the library project was launched. Since then, we have been actively gathering books and texts in order to create a comprehensive document collection that embodies the diversity and range of the Buddhist teachings.
We have been preserving this collection in archives that represent the inspiring diversity of Buddhist teachings.
Our intention is to continue adding to our collection, focusing on specific fields, such as Tibetan Buddhism and, more specifically, the Karma Kagyu lineage, in order to promote philosophical and historical research and study in this field.
With the construction of the Dhagpo Kagyu Ling Institute, this precious collection of texts will soon be more accessible to all interested parties.
