The Eastern collection is mainly comprised of the
major Tibetan
texts written by accomplished masters. Taken from Tibet to India
in the 1950s, these important texts were thus saved and reproduced.
These texts,
the very heart of the doctrine, were written
by important scholars and recognized masters from India and Tibet. They
now exist are available here in the form of Western-style books or traditional
Tibetan ‘petcha’s.

We also have
the microfilm "Collection of Tibetan Works" program
PL 480 (the originals are in the Library of Congress, Washington
DC), a total of 37,000 microfilms. We have been scanning and digitalizing
them in order to guarantee their preservation and facilitate access.
